The insanity started in November, 2003 when co-founders Dee and Friday's Child created Blogdrive Insanity in order to bring together a group of people who were crazy about blogs, blogging and bloggers. The intent was to spread some silliness on tagboards across all of blogdom and to share the love. With a few blogdrivers being insane in their blogging tags, the concept then grew with blinkies...
